The skins we use come from our Western Canadian Prairies and are prime winter pelts of exceptional quality. Our coyotes pelts tend to have a blond or bleached out colouring. This is due to the exposure to our long winter prairie sun. The backing we use for our fur blankets are imported Italian silks and satins. All of the skins in our fur blankets are dropped or fully let out. They are not blocked or skin on skin. Fully “let out” means that the skins are cut into very fine narrow strips dropped slightly and then sewn back together. This allows us to utilize and lengthen more of the skin. As well it reinforces the strength of the fur blanket. It also demands to be labour intensive and creates a more luxurious appeal and touch to our fur blankets and fur throws. It also demands a higher price which comes with quality and master furrier craftsmanship.
