Our Kamiks are made from Barren Central Ground Caribou Hides. The caribou is treated in the Inuit Traditional fashion which is cured via air drying. The Inuit Ladies of Canada's High Arctic do all the sewing and designing of these Kamiks. They are lined with sherpa wool and have a pull string at the top of the boot. The soles are made from the Caribou hair itself. Kamiks are designed for cold dry weather. When not being used in the off season, it is recommended to store the Kamiks in the freezer or a sealed cold dry location.
